Well, as the quest description says, talk to Kara Thricestar in order to catch a free ride to Bixie. No "finding" involved.

Though the free ride might have been added in a later patch, I wouldn't know.
Yes, I'm here on 3.1 ... Just walk out of the building after getting the quest ... Walk straight out to find the Kara plane flightmaster by the planes. Talk to her and she'll fly you to Bixie.
