1. В описании достижения: Получите из добычи 1000 осколков каменного хранителя.
2. В клиенте тип достижения: ACHIEVEMENT_CRITERIA_TYPE_LOOT_ITEM, то есть получить в добыче с НПЦ

I spoke to a GM yesterday, and he told me that it wont count the wintergrasp quest reward shards anymore, only the shards you loot from bosses, so i tested what he said today in violet hold heroic, and it's actually true, the counter went up, so there ya go. He said they had no plans of changing it fyi.

Its true that you only get shards towards this achievement from killing bosses. It reads "LOOT 1000 shards" not "Gain 1000 shards" or anything. You need to manually hunch down over a corpse and loot them, so getting them from quests etc doesn't count.
