It is on DR of the likes of Polymorph/Sap/Freezing Trap/Repentance/Hungering Cold/Gouge. AND in addition it shares a DR with Deep Freeze. It doesn't break on any damage, it works like Fear in that regard.
After you get dispelled, used medallion or whatever you become immune to the effect for a few seconds.
