Taking from the knowledge discovered in this thread:
- The proc can crit (for 150% damage)
- The pillar missing is negligible
- The ICD on the proc is 2 seconds
- DoT crits don't cause a proc
For this I am also:
- Assuming an average geared SPriest
- Assuming a crit chance of 35%
- Using the scaling coefficients found HERE, specifically the "T9_245" listing.
- Calculating procs on a non "best case" scenario (not 1 proc per 2 seconds). Instead I'm assuming a more likely case of 1 proc every 4 seconds
- Assuming a single target "Patchwerk" like fight
For the ilvl 245 trinket:
The average Pillar hit will be
(1741+2023)/2 = 1882
The average Pillar crit will be
1882*1.5 = 2823
Assuming 35% crit chance, the average Pillar damage will be
(1882*.65)+(2823*.35) = 2211.35
We assume we proc the trinket and gain one Mote of Flame every 4 seconds. This means that the Pillar will fire every 12 seconds
3*4 = 12
This will mean that the Pillar does about 184.28 DPS
2211.35/12 = 184.28
This will normalize out to about 114.46 PP
184.28/1.61 = 114.46
This will bring the total value of the trinket to 264.46 PP
150+114.46 = 264.46
For the ilvl 258 trinket:
The average Pillar hit will be
(1959+2275)/2 = 2117
The average Pillar crit will be
2217*1.5 = 3175.5
Assuming 35% crit chance, the average Pillar damage will be
(2117*.65)+(3175.5*.35) = 2487.48
We assume we proc the trinket and gain one Mote of Flame every 4 seconds. This means that the Pillar will fire every 12 seconds
3*4 = 12
This will mean that the Pillar does about 207.29 DPS
2487.48/12 = 207.29
This will normalize out to about 128.75 PP
207.29/1.61 = 128.75
This will bring the total value of the trinket to 296.75 PP
168+128.75 = 296.75
_______________________________________________
Even when assuming a lower rate of 1 proc every 6 seconds:
ilvl 245 trinket = 226.31 PP
ilvl 258 trinket = 253.83 PP
Both are extremely good.
