Эредары Пылающего Легиона, произошедшие от могучих и обладающих способностями к магии эредаров Аргуса считаются самыми первыми чернокнижниками и темными магами.

Собственно вместо "богов", в игре расплывчатое понятие "Свет" и "Тьма", но основная суть заключается в том что Присты получают свою силу именно от них.

Что касается Мана'ри Эредаров, они не поклонялись Саргерасу, они ему служили в качестве офицеров высшего ранга. Архимонд и Кил'джейден были его правой и левой рукой.
Варлоки используют Fel Energy, которую воруют или берут силой. Присты и Паладины получают силу свыше. Маги используют энергию Арканы. Друиды силу Природы. Шаманы - силу Элементальных стихий.
