I love rocket gloves; I have them on all of my characters. It's amazing because:
1) extra burst off GCD
2) breaks rogue's vanishes
3) hit's through cloak of shadows

and it procs impact (for fire mages)

and it pierce through Cloak of Shadow

and it has 40m range

Hand rockets should be the hands down pvp choice. Not only is it a lot of damage on demand, but as far as I know it goes through cloak. It is also amazing for putting yourself in combat to avoid saps or putting other people in combat to avoid resets since it has an extraordinarily long range.

hand mounted pyro rocket can´t be resisted with cloak of shadow and it hase a nice range
also perfect for keepning players in combat when they run away
